"Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul." ~John Muir

The average cost of a cosmetology education is between $6 000 and $10 000 dollars. The good news is beauty is big business and big business is a ready and willing partner in qualifying cosmetology and beauty school students for the future, with scholarships and awards aplenty. Some of the biggest cosmetics companies in the world are providing scholarships to students wishing to pursue careers in cosmetology, beauty and skin care or dermatology. As with all scholarships, it pays to be prepared well in advance of the application deadlines for scholarships. Write a great cover letter. If an essay is required make it personal and compelling. Get together all the references you can from teachers, community leaders, employers and anyone else who will attest to your exceptional skills. Keep all of this information in one place along with personal and financial details. That way when an opportunity presents itself, you will be ready to go.

“The ideals which have lighted me on my way and time after time given me new courage to face life cheerfully, have been Truth, Goodness, and Beauty. . . . The ordinary objects of human endeavour -- property, outward success, luxury -- have always seemed to me contemptible.” Albert Einstein
