NACME Scholarships

NACME awards over $5 million in scholarships each year specifically to minority (UMM) students. NACME supports approximately 1,000 underrepresented minority students each year pursuing degrees in engineering and computing.

EPP Undergraduate Scholarship Program

The EPP/MSI Undergraduate Scholarship provides funds for two years of undergraduate study to rising junior undergraduate students majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields that directly support NOAA’s mission.
Students receive awards valued at up to $45,000 in total support (including travel and conference participation) during their junior and senior years.

Open to American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian AISES members pursuing degrees in the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields.

The Gates Scholarship (TGS)

The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a scholarship for outstanding minority high school students from low-income families. Each year, scholarships are awarded to outstanding student leaders, helping them reach their full potential.

Eligible for application:
High school students who are African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian and Pacific Islander Americans, and/or Hispanic Americans.
Pell Eligibility.
U.S. citizen, national or permanent resident.
Excellent academic performance with a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.3.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Scholarship

Open to African American, Latino, or American Indian students pursuing a bachelor of science degree in computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering at an HP Scholar partnership university (UCLA, University of Washington, San Jose State, Morgan State, or North Carolina A&T).
Five (5) scholarship awardees will receive a two-year, need-based scholarship in the amount of $8,245 per year to assist with educational expenses for two academic years.
